Popular Eco-store from Los Angeles visits Toronto with a pop up shop where you can be confident that all of your items are Eco-friendly, healthy and natural.

The Detox Market’s new Toronto pop-up shop at 367 King Street West is a new shop that offers a strictly edited selection of eco beauty, skin and home products for the eco-friendly buyer. Founded by Los Angeles-based eco entrepreneurs, Valerie Grandury and Romain Gaillard, partnered up with Toronto-based naturopath doctor Bita Doagoo to open up the location, which will be a concept store open for four months.

Many of the product lines found in the store range from skincare to food. Brands include Pure Provence soaps from France (scents come in Pomegranate Passion Fruit and Cranberry Acai), as well as Kide Eco Cosmetics, a popular line from Finland, the pure, mineral foundations, which contain vitamins and antioxidants and Hurraw!, a raw, vegan lip balm line.

The Detox Market also carries chemical free nail polish. With most brands consisting of chemicals and toxins, the Aquarella brand is touted as the only truly safe nail polish available that is both completely water-based and non-toxic.

Grandury and Gaillard have also included their line Odacité Skin Care in the Toronto shop as a Canadian exclusive. The organic and botanic line is fresh so all products are refrigerated until sold and are to be kept in your fridge. (Did you know that some celebs keep mini fridges in their bathrooms now to store their fresh face products?)

Another line with star power is Rahua, paraben, sulfate and silicone free hair care. Stars such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Madonna both use the product and swear by it. Containing super Amazon ingredient Rahua, this botanical oils deeply penetrates the hair’s cortex – bonding and repairing it – while simultaneously smoothing the hair’s cuticle.

For health conscious foodies, the shop also carries Taza Stone Ground Chocolate—100% organic, stone ground chocolate made from Direct Trade-certified cacao. For those searching for a milk alternative, there is a soy/dairy-free beverage that is GMO-Free  available in several creamy flavours. Other beverages include healthy and detoxifying teas by Kusmi Tea as well as benourished, Canada’s juice cleansing company.

The Detox Market, 367 King St. West, 416-548-9879 runs until December.
