Dark Phoenix trailer, the latest in the X-Men saga, puts the spotlight on Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey.
The film, starring Game of Thrones’ Sophie Turner, is a continuation from the last installments including, “First Class,” “Days of Future Past” and “Apocalypse,” is an adaptation of the “Dark Phoenix Saga” from the Marvel comics, which finds Jean Grey (Turner) giving into her dark side after an accident in space.

In Dark Phoenix, a telepathic and telekinetic Jean Grey discovers her true potential after nearly being killed during a rescue mission in space. When she returns, she finds herself limitlessly stronger, but also unbalanced.
As she battles with this new reality, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can’t understand or contain. Spiraling out of control, she hurts the people closest to her, while also unraveling the ties that hold the X-Men together. With this family beginning to crumble, they must find a way to unite to save Jean’s soul and to prevent aliens from weaponizing on this new power and taking over the galaxy.

The movie is set to hit theatres on June 7, 2019.
