PARIS HILTON TALKS ABOUT HER REAL-LIFE EXPERIENCE IN “THE BLING RING” AND GIVES YOU A GLIMPSE INSIDE HER CLOSET
Check it out! Paris Hilton opened up her real home and closet for Sofia Coppola’s movie The Bling Ring—based on true events following a group of teens who robbed famous stars including Hilton.
When Sofia Coppola asked real-life robbery victim Paris Hilton to be a part of her new movie The Bling Ring, not only did the fame-friendly star accept, but she also allowed the director to film inside her home.
In the movie, based on true events, a group of fame-obsessed teenagers use the internet to track celebrities’ whereabouts in order to rob their homes. (Read more about The Bling Ring here)
After visiting Hilton’s Mulholland Estates home for research, Coppola came to the conclusion that no imitated set could replicate Hilton’s lavish home. Hilton agreed to let Coppola and her film crew film inside her bedroom and closet, revealing Paris’ personal items, including the now-famous set of pillows featuring Hilton’s face on them.
As a key victim in the actual robberies, on which the movie is based, Hilton understood the story better than most of the actors. Introduced to Coppola through her friend Stephen Dorff, the star of Coppola’s previous feature Somewhere Hilton reached out to Coppola. “Stephen called me and told me Sofia wanted to talk to me about something,” recalls Hilton. “So we started emailing back and forth and she told me about this project. Of course I knew a lot about the actual story because I was involved with it in real life. I really was out in the clubs with these kids who were wearing dresses they had stolen from my closet — right there in front of me and I had no idea!”

THE BLING RING opens June 21 and stars Emma Watson alongside incredible new talent Israel Broussard, Katie Chang, Claire Julien, and Taissa Farmiga.
