BRADLEY COOPER, CHRIS PRATT, ZOE SALDANA, TALK ABOUT MARVEL’S EPIC SPACE ADVENTURE MOVIE “GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY”

Bradley Cooper, Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana talk about why Guardians of the Galaxy is not your regular superhero movie.

At first glance, Marvel’s Guardian s of the Galaxy seems like an off-the-wall kids’ movie. But if you take a closer glance, it’s not only filled with action, set in the distance cosmos, it’s also a fun comedic ride the whole family can take pleasure in.

Even star Zoe Saldana admits, she wasn’t familiar with this story in Marvel’s universe but was quickly turned on by it. “I’ve always had an affinity for unimaginable stories: simple stories told in unimaginable places, which obviously enters the category of science fiction, and I was fascinated with the world presented  in this story,” Saldana says.  “As a woman who grew up loving action movies, I have always longed to see more female characters in action roles,” says Saldana. “So I’m thrilled to be able to make the kind of movies that inspired me as a child. I really   hope this raises the bar and sets a standard for future generations of actresses. Women don’t have to be the damsels in distress. They can do a Marvel movie and   play a badass character if they’re willing to put the work in.”

In Guardians   of   the   Galaxy, the Marvel Universe gets expanded to the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill (Pratt) finds himself the object of an unrelenting  bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by  Ronan, powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever‐persistent Ronan, Quil is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun‐toting raccoon (Cooper), Groot (Vin Diesel), a tree‐like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora (Saldana), and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista). But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.
