Thankfully, there’s a new hair care line that can repair your hair and turn it from drab to fab in just a few washes.

Do you have dry, damaged hair or split ends? Does your hair lack luster? If you answered yes, you’re among millions of women who struggle to keep their manes (or as I call it, your crowning glory) healthy and strong.

As an everyday user of heat styling products, including two different sizes of curling irons, a hair dryer and a straightening iron, I’m what you would call a Damage Criminal. Yes, I admit it. Plus, my hair is coloured. So in other words, my hair is constantly dry and in desperate need of repair.

Most of us, including myself, who have busy lifestyles, don’t have time to sit with treatments that call for hours of leave-in time or require you to sleep with it on overnight. For me, I need treatments to begin working right when I wash my hair. In fact, why can’t it just be in my day–to-day shampoo?

To answer this need to repair dry, damaged hair and split ends, Garnier has developed the new Fructis Damage Eraser hair care line that reconstructs your hair’s strength by 90%. Ninety percent? Count me in! What’s also amazing about the Fructis Damage Eraser products is that they repair hair from root to tip, and you don’t have to stop using your styling tools.

Products in the line include a Damage Eraser Shampoo, Damage Eraser Conditioner, Damage Eraser Repairing Mask and the Damage Eraser Split End Bandage—which all include a Phyto-Keratin® Complex with plant based proteins, fruit concentrate, Cupuaçu Butter and natural lipids.

THE TEST:

In an effort to repair my heat-damaged, colour-treated dry locks, I decided to try the Damage Eraser Shampoo, Conditioner and Repairing Mask. The shampoo lathered up nicely and the scent was refreshing and my hair and scalp instantly felt clean. After rinsing, I then applied the regular conditioner to get a sense of what it was like and rinsed shortly after application. At that point, although my hair was still soaked, it felt less tangled. I then applied the Repairing Mask to the ends of my hair and left it on for about a minute.

After towel drying, I then used a wide-toothed comb to gently get rid of tangles. Immediately I noticed that my hair was smoother than usual with the comb going through my long locks effortlessly.

BEFORE                                                                               AFTER
(dull and dry)                                                                    (Healthy, bouncy and refreshed)

When blow-drying, my hair began to pump up with the heat and formed into nice big waves with my round brush. My hair felt, not only clean, but also light, bouncy and rejuvenated. It also looked healthy, shiny and most of all, less dry at the ends. With continued use, I can tell my locks will be fully repaired in no time!

I’ve been trying out the shampoo and conditioner too. I love how they make my hair feel immediately after washing and also when just dried but I feel by that evening my hair looks quite greasy. Its very similar to when i use a cleansing conditioner actually.I do have greasy hair but I can usually get at least a day or day and a half out of a wash then I just dry shampoo or tie it up til the second day. So unfortunately it’s back to the less clean brands til I find something that works.
