DIVE INTO THE FANTASY WORLD OF “ALICE THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS” DURING THE “ALICE ON QUEEN” POP UP SHOP IN TORONTO
Fancy some tea, Alice style? Before the opening of Alice Through The Looking Glass—the fantasy film we’ve all grown to love—opens on May 17, fans can get a sneak peek into this whimsical world at the Toronto Alice On Queen Pop Up.
The ALICE ON QUEEN POP UP opens to the public tomorrow, May 20th for one week leading up to the May 27th release of the much-anticipated movie, “Alice Through The Looking Glass.”
In Disney’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass,” an all-new spectacular adventure featuring the unforgettable characters from Lewis Carroll’s beloved stories, Alice returns to the whimsical world of Underland and travels back in time to save the Mad Hatter.
The movie reunites the all-star cast from the worldwide blockbuster phenomenon, including: Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska and Helena Bonham Carter along with the voices of Alan Rickman, Stephen Fry, Michael Sheen and Timothy Spall. We are also introduced to several new characters: Zanik Hightopp (Rhys Ifans), the Mad Hatter’s father and Time himself (Sacha Baron Cohen), a peculiar creature who is part human, part clock.
The ALICE ON QUEEN POP UP (#AliceOnQueen) will feature the following:
- A recreation of the iconic Mad Hatter’s Tea Party Table by cake-baking sensation Yolanda Gampp of the hugely popular YouTube channel, How To Cake It, and her team. Yolanda will also be creating a very special one-of-a-kind Alice Through The Looking Glass-themed cake just for the Pop Up.
- The TRAVEL THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS EXPERIENCE - a digital kiosk and facemapping experience that allows fans to transform themselves into their favourite character from the film: Alice, Mad Hatter, Red Queen, White Queen, White Rabbit or Cheshire Cat. The TRAVEL THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS EXPERIENCE was a massive hit and one of the most popular attractions at last year’s D23 fan convention.
- Photo-op-worthy imagery from the film including a striking display featuring the character of Time (played by Sacha Baron Cohen) that when photographed, tagged and shared on Instagram & Twitter using the assigned hashtag automatically gives fans a chance to win Alice Through The Looking Glass swag and advance screening passes
- Set design sketches from the film illustrating the incredible world of Underland
- Urban Decay will be showcasing their limited-edition Alice Through The Looking Glass collection featuring a coveted eyeshadow palette and five shades of custom lipstick. Urban Decay makeup artists will also be on-site for makeup demonstrations on Sunday, May 22.
