Martin’s sixth book The Winds of Winter, can get another glimpse of what’s to come with the author’s release of a never-before-seen-chapter.
George R.R. Martin, author of the popular “A Song of Ice and Fire,” book series has given fans a glimpse at the sixth installment of its epic fantasy novel series titled as “The Winds of Winter” by releasing another sample chapter the book.
Martin published on his blog, called “Not a Blog,” the new teaser chapter just in time for HBO’s season 4 premiere of the series Game of Thrones due on April 6. “I thought the time was ripe for me to give my readers another taste of WINDS OF WINTER,” Martin wrote.
The title of the sample chapter is “Mercy.” Martin revealed that it is an old chapter because it has been written for a while, like most of the author’s work, which often takes him years to pen, but assured fans he’s it has never been released.

Martin has been giving fans a few previews of his much-anticipated book at events and conferences to satisfy the hunger of his “A Song of Ice and Fire” fans.
A release date for the book has not been set but until then, fans can relive the adventures when Game of Thrones premieres April 6 on HBO @ 9pm (EST).
