These new, fizzy mouthwash tabs from Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics offer a fresh take on how you cleanse your mouth.
Lush has done it again! If you’re a fan of their natural soaps and their amazing bath bombs they’re so famous for, you’ll go gaga over their new mouthwash tabs. They are literally an edible version of a bath bomb in your mouth!
Not only are they perfectly sized they are a great alternative to the often stingy mouthwashes you find on drugstore shelves. Did I mention the taste? Not only do they taste great, they leave your mouth feeling fresh and clean.
The mouthwash tabs come in three great flavours including:
Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster contains a shot of lemon oil that freshens your palate and quinine packs the same mouth-watering taste that’s found in tonic water. Aniseed and heaps of fizz give your mouth a feeling to remember.
Crème de Menthe offers a double-shot of mint for an intoxicating blast of icy coolness.
Ugai deeply refreshes with tea tree oil, refreshing sea salt to freshen the mouth and prevent dryness, while green tea gives a quenching, herbal flavor.
The new mouthwash tabs are each formulated with a blend of mouth-freshening oils, and contain citric and malic acids.
According to lush: “Citric acid helps give our tabs their solid shape, and helps create fizz when combined with sodium bicarbonate. Malic acid helps boost the flavor of the mouthwash tab, and therefore the effect of the ingredients used. For example, menthol and peppermint oil offer an extra kick thanks to malic acid and that extra flavor makes your mouth feel fresher and enhances the experience.”
How to use them: After brushing, pop one into your mouth, take a sip of water to start the fizz, and then nibble and swish before spitting out.
I tried the tabs and was so impressed at how fresh and clean my mouth felt after using one, I don’t want to go back to the harsh liquid kind. Another great thing is that they’re portable. They’re pretty small so you can take them just about anywhere.
Also, if you’re worried about Fluoride, a controversial ingredient, Lush has decided to leave these out of the tabs.
