TWG TEA FASHIONS THE WORLD’S MOST LUXURIOUS ICED TEA COLLECTION

Fashionable tea purveyor TWG Tea has launched its delicious and luxurious Iced Teabag collection, just in time for summer.

Your summer sipper is here!

There’s no summer drink more quintessential than iced tea. Whether you like it unsweetened or sweetened, a cold cup of tea is definitely a popular summer quencher. As an iced tea lover, I’ve tried to brew my own at home with OK results. I like my iced tea unsweetened so some blends can turn out bland or bitter when chilled.

There are iced teas, though, and then there is TWG iced tea. I recently tried their Iced Tea blends and I have to say they are beyond delicious. I’m not one for flavoured teas or coffees but these blends each take on subtle flavours that actually enhance the tea drinking experience needed for a perfect cold brew. And, in my opinion, these teas do not need sweeteners because they are so flavourful.

What I also love about this luxurious tea is the bag itself. Forget dunking a bunch of teabags into a pitcher. With TWG Iced Tea bags all you need one. These bags are made of hand-sewn silk and contain 7.5 grams of whole-leaf tea and have a very long string (finally!) so you can let it steep in your glass carafe.

The story behind this luxury tea brand is based on their teas being handcrafted with natural materials. TWG Tea Iced Teabags (as is with their entire collections) are all carefully placed in TWG Tea packaging embossed with the name of the tea in gold lettering. Each of the fifteen keepsake gift boxes includes seven teabags.

The teabags are entirely hand sewn and are free from metal staples and glue, which are detrimental to the quality and flavour of the tea.

The iced tea collection comes in 15 varieties of whole tealeaves in keepsake boxes including classics like French Earl Grey, Eternal Summer Tea, Moroccan Mint Tea, Pomme Prestige, Eternal Summer and Darjeeling, and exclusive blends such as Sweet France, Pink Flamingo and Cocktail Hour. And, my favourite, Tea Party tea.

Whether you’re craving something sweet or light and tangy, these teas are the perfect blend for the ultimate cup of Iced Tea.

How to brew the perfect up of TWG Iced Tea:

  1. Place 1 teabag into a teapot or glass pitcher
  2. Add 1/2 liter (500 ml) of pure, simmering water.
  3. Steep for about 5 minutes. Remove teabag.
  4. Allow tea to cool
  5. Pour into glasses filled with ice cubes.

The TWG Tea Iced Teabags retails at $42, available at the TWG Tea Salon & Boutique in Vancouver. Canadian orders can be made online at www.VanSingDG.com.
