Model-turned-actress Kelly Rohrbach makes her splashing acting debut in the new Baywatch movie.
You may recognize her from being a hot Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model but now model Kelly Rohrbach is taking the reins of Pamela Anderson’s iconic ‘90s TV Baywatch character C.J. Parker in the new Baywatch movie.
In the hotly anticipated Baywatch movie, Rohrbach reveals that she’ll be giving the character a bit of a makeover. “Everyone has a memory of Baywatch, so obviously there’s pressure to live up to that,” Rohrbach told press.
“The cast and I wanted to deliver something that was really fresh and new. It’s a little bit of a spoof on the TV show,” she told Violet Files. She also made sure that her character had some substance. “I wasn’t interested in playing the hot-girl role. I didn’t want her to be an object but rather a dynamic, real person.”

When it came to the popular red swimsuit, Rohrbach reveals it still looks the same as the original but it took some time to get it right. “You won’t believe how many fittings it took to get the swimsuit right,” Rohrbach tells the Daily Star. “It was re-tailored like 10 times to make my legs look as long as they can and my bum look as good as possible. But I am really happy with the end result. The red Baywatch swimsuit is iconic. When I had my first fitting I guess it felt a bit like Superman putting on his cape for the first time.”
Keeping the red suit that became iconic to the show only had one slight modification.“It’s scuba material, which is awesome because it’s literally like wearing Spanx that suck you right in,” she told Cosmopolitan. “I was like, cheeseburgers, no problem. Just zip that thing up and it’s like it never happened.”
Baywatch movie opens in theatres on May 25 and also stars Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Priyanka Chopra, Alexandra Daddario and Ilfenesh Hadera.
