INTERVIEW: MARGOT ROBBIE SAYS THE LEGEND OF TARZAN’S JANE IS NO DAMZEL IN DISTRESS

Margot Robbie dishes on playing a different kind of Jane in “The Legend of Tarzan” and what it was like to work with Alexander Skarsgard.

One thing is for sure, according to Margot Robbie, she is no damzel in distress. This was no exception when it came to playing the role of Jane, in the newly minted Tarzan story about the boy who was raised by apes in the deep jungle.

In this new version, The Legend of Tarzan explores Tarzan (Alexander Skarsgard), as he was known, married to his beloved Jane, living in civilization.

It has been years since he left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side.

Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.
