INTERVIEW: ALEXANDER SKARSGARD TALKS ABOUT PLAYING “THE LEGEND OF TARZAN”

Alexander Skarsgard is king of the jungle in his new turn as Tarzan in “The Legend of Tarzan” movie. We got the scoop on how he prepared to play the legendary jungle hero.

Alexander Skarsgard has moved on from his days of playing the hot and sexy vamp in True Blood to Tarzan king of the jungle.

Even though it’s a story that has been done numerous times, The Legend of Tarzan, brings a fresh new take on a character many people have grown up seeing on the big screen.

It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side.  Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Leon Rom (Waltz).  But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.

In this interview, Skarsgard talks about why he took on the role, why it’s different than other versions, and how he got in shape to be the king of the jungle!
