BEAUTY REVIEW: GARNIER CLEAN + SENSITIVE SKIN MAKEUP REMOVING LOTION CLEANSER
Are you looking for a new cleanser that will get deep down and remove dirt and stubborn makeup? This new cleansing lotion may be just what you’ve been waiting for.
I’m always on the lookout for a great cleanser. So when I had the opportunity to test out the new Garnier Clean+ Sensitive Skin Makeup Removing Lotion Cleanser I was excited and also intrigued.
It’s not like your regular cleanser. There’s no lather or foam and you don’t need water. When I first read this, I was probably as skeptical as you are reading this.
So how do you use it? On the package, it directs you to apply the lotion to dry skin with fingers and gently massage it on the skin and around the eyes. Remove with cotton pad or rinse clean with water.
This is a process that was new to me in terms of cleansing. Once I dispensed about a dime-size of the product, I used my fingers to gently rub my skin in a circular motion, and to my surprise the makeup was melting off. I then used a high-quality cotton pad to lift the dirt and makeup off my skin and it came off with literally one swipe. Once I removed my makeup, I gently rinsed my face with warm water
The results were fantastic. Usually, with some cleansers, after use my face gets tight and dry but it instantly felt as though I had already moisturized it.
(See the swab test in the picture. With one swipe of the product down the center, makeup was instantly removed.)
Why it works: The quick-break lotion releases the powerful cleansing agents to dissolve impurities upon being massaged into the skin and is also powerful enough to remove waterproof mascara. The formula, infused with purifying moringa flower plant extract, is also free from alcohol, dyes and fragrance.
The only negative thing about the product is that it doesn’t lather. If that’s something that is important to you, than you might not enjoy this experience. But in my opinion, because this cleansing lotion is free from alcohol, dyes and fragrance, it’s worth giving in to change.
After a few days of use, and in combination with a Garnier moisturizer, my skin is fighting off the rigors of the cold winter air and has become more moisturized and healthy looking, which is why I’m adding it to my beauty arsenal.
I say this is a definite “must-try, beauty buy.”

I used to use Garnier products in my teens and now since I turned 50 I started using them again and was reminded of how much more I like them. They are non greasy and really do the job to cleanse and moisturize.
Glad to have come back to them.
