As the fall season approaches, so does a new crop of TV shows to indulge in, and the hot new station, YES TV, has you covered for a bunch of exciting shows you won’t want to miss. Plus, enter a fab contest!
Starting in September, YES TV will exclusively air fan-favourite shows including, Judge Judy, The Biggest Loser, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Hot Bench and the X-Factor UK, and more.
Heating up the YES TV lineup is one of TV’s hottest singing competition shows. If you’re a fan of the X-Factor, fans will be excited to learn that its flagship show, X-Factor UK, will make its Season 11 debut this side of the pond with TV’s most controversial judge: Simon Cowell, A.K.A Mr. Honesty. Has fatherhood mellowed out the outspoken judge? Let’s hope not.
As a fan of the show, I think a no-holds-barred kind of judge like Cowell is necessary. After all, when you’re given the opportunity to bypass a lot of obstacles and odds in the music business and be able to showcase your singing talent for the world to see, taking a few critical hits from Cowell, a veteran in the music biz, is necessary. It may seem to viewers that Cowell may be crushing dreams but think about it, in being critically honest, he’s telling it like it is and is bringing those folks who simply cannot sing back to reality. Plus, how boring would it be if everyone judge were nice? Bring it on Simon. Bring it on!
Accompanying Cowell on the judges panel is former Spice Girl and America’s Got Talent favorite, Mel B, who makes her first appearance as a full-time judge, along with UK pop singer Cheryl Cole and respected music manager Louis Walsh.
The X Factor UK contestants compete in two sets of audition rounds, taking place across the UK in Manchester, London, Newcastle, and Edinburgh. In the initial closed room auditions, contestants will find themselves face-to-face with the judges in the hopes they move on to perform live in front of an audience.
