RELEASE YOUR INNER PICASSO WITH THE NEW CHALKBOARD MANICURE
This new nail art innovation by Ciaté London will have you sketching and doodling your own unique designs. Are you bold enough to try it?
From colour blocking to bold patterns and glittery designs to textured looks—nail art has shown no boundaries for expressing your creative style.
But what if you could actually doodle and sketch on your nails? Ciaté London, the creative founder of the famous caviar nail art, has taken things to new heights with their new Chalkboard Manicure.
Ciaté Creative Director, Charlotte Knight, said she was inspired by nostalgic fun and youthful creativity that’s found in using chalk crayons and the unique dusty pastel texture they create.
“This kit takes me back to being a little girl,” said Knight. “I absolutely love mixing up nail designs and textures, and I was giddy with excitement when creating this particular kit.”
The Chalkboard Manicure kit contains everything you need to create your favourite designs or messages, including mini liquid chalk pens, Ciaté Chalkboard Paint Pot and Mattnificent topcoat.
Ciate Chalkboard Manicure Step-By-Step Guide:
1. Begin with two coats of matte black Ciaté Chalkboard Paint Pot, and allow to dry.
2. Once dry, take a mini chalk pen and gently press onto the nail to release the liquid chalk.
3. Sketch, doodle and squiggle any design you like.
4. If you make a mistake, simply rinse with water and start again!
5. Dry and seal your masterpiece with Ciaté Mattnificent topcoat. Remove with regular nail polish remover once you’re ready for a new scribbled style.
Want design ideas?
From hearts to smiley faces to stars and stripes, you can basically doodle anything you like on your chalkboard mani. But it you’re stumped for ideas, each kit comes with a Chalkboard Manicure Doodle Gallery you get creative.
Ciaté Chalboard Manicure kit is available in Canada at the Bay, August 2013.
