GET THE OMBRE LOOK AT HOME WITH FERIA WILD OMBRE DIY COLOUR KITS
From Jessica Alba to Rihanna to Rachel Bilson and Lauren Conrad—the ombré hair colour trend is spreading like wildfire, and now you can do it at home.
Although it’s been out for a while, this year, ombré hair once again dominated the runways but this time with a softer, fresher look.
If you’ve always wanted to try this look you can now do it yourself from home with the first-ever DIY Ombré kit by Feria. The great thing about L’Oréal Paris Féria Wild Ombré. at-home hair colour kits is that they make creating this trendy salon easy; no caps required!
According to L’Oreal Paris Creative Haircolour Director and celebrity stylist Christophe Robin, the key to pulling off this off on your own is to start by applying a small amount of colour onto strands of hair in sections. “Start off slowly. You can always add colour but you can’t take it away,” says Robin, while giving media a demonstration of the kits he helped create. “You start off by pulling back a top layer of hair and then begin applying the colour using the expert brush on sections of hair.
Robin suggests putting five strands on one side, and five on the other for a soft effect. “When you put these highlights in your hair, it will look like you have more hair as the colour will add dimension.”
How much colour you add to your locks is up to you. You can apply a few as Robin suggests or add more to achieve a stronger, two-toned effect. The Feria Wild Ombré kits comes in five shades.
