She may play a bad-ass action hero in Resident Evil: Retribution but Milla Jovovich knows how to rock a cool beauty look on the red carpet—perfect for tiff 2012.

Just in time for the Toronto International Film Festival, Eddie Maleterre, official makeup artist for L’Oreal Paris Canada, shows you how you can create Milla’s cool and mysterious look.

“I delicately blended two pigments with my fingertips to create a unique colour,” Maleterre says. “I added a black shadow, reminiscent of the dark smokey rooms of the Roaring Twenties.”

“I then applied a generous coat of mascara to the lashes. The complexion is even, light and transparent. I completed the look with an evanescent dusting of blush, vaporous and light as smoke. I subtly coloured the lips with Colour Riche Peach Fuzz and I blend in Colour Riche Caresse Rose Taffeta for a fuller, opulent look.”
