Do you find when packing your Louis Vuitton luggage before a trip that something always seems to be missing? Well hold on tight because your fashion & beauty repertoire is soon be complete with the release of a new Louis Vuitton fragrance.
It comes as a shock, really, that high-fashion label Louis Vuitton hasn’t come out with a fragrance in years. To use the word “years” is, however, an understatement. The luxury brand – who hasn’t come out with one since the ‘30s – has just announced plans to finally enter the world of perfume by introducing a new scent.
WWD has confirmed that the brand has partnered with master perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud who will head up the scent development.
WWD the perfumer will be taking his time and traveling the globe to find the perfect scents. “Making perfume is a magnificent journey, which starts with the quality of the base ingredients,” explained Cavallier-Belletrud to WWD.
Cavallier-Belletrud’s fragrance collaborations include L’Eau d’Issey, Dior Addict, Poeme by Lancôme and Stella by Stella McCartney.
So the next question is, who will be the new face of the fragrance? We shall wait and see.
