When cold winter weather hits, my skin gets incredibly dry. It seems like it literally happens over night. As soon as this happens I know it’s time to pay close attention to my skin, particularly my face.
I can generally tell the state of my skin by the way it looks and feels, but I still wanted to check out how healthy it really was. At a recent press event for Elizabeth Arden, I had the opportunity to have my skin tested by a small instrument that measures the skin’s properties, including elasticity and hydration. When the Elizabeth Arden representative gave me my results – graded on a letter scale, “A” being the best and “D” being the worst – I was shocked to see that while I got an “A” for elasticity, I got mostly C’s in the other categories, including hydration.
With this is mind, I was eager to try the new Elizabeth Arden Prevage Hydrating Fluid. It promises not only to protect, correct and moisturize skin, but to also prevent environmental signs of aging. Prevage Hydrating fluid uses the powerful antioxidants, Idebenone and Thiotaine to protect skin, a soy protein peptide complex to restore and glycerin to keep skin moisturized.
The fluid is silky and smooth and soaks into the skin immediately. After a few weeks of using the product, my face feels smoother and hydrated.
Available at departments stores February 2012. $140 for 50 ml.
